Allen Meadows
Here too there is a discreet touch of wood setting off the ripe yet cool nose of green fruit, pear, apple and algae scents. There is once again excellent volume and richness to the intense medium weight plus flavors that terminate in a zesty, even tangy finale where the wood telegraphed by the nose reappears. 90-92 points

(50% in barrel; this cuvée includes the estate`s oldest vines, planted in 1947). Pale yellow-green. Sexy high-toned aromas of lime blossom and stone fruits carry their oak element gracefully. Very ripe, chewy wine in the style of a Chassagne-Montrachet. Conveys an impression of power but for all its early appeal this will need at least a couple years of cellaring upon its release. Just a soupçon of finishing bitterness. 89-91 points
