2015 Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir

Hamilton Russell is a fabulous producer on the Hermanus coast with a bit of limestone terroir and a lot of baboons. This classically styled cool climate Pinot Noir still shows really attractive fruit and some early oak. We’re drinking this before equivalent Burgundy has even left the cellar. It is still a lovely wine and demonstrates what a sensitive vine Pinot Noir is and how well it performs in the right place and hands. (CW 15/07/16)
