If Malagousia seems an unfamiliar grape variety to you, that`s partly because Gerovassiliou are largely responsible for rescuing it from near oblivion. A perfect fit of vine and terroir, Malagoussia has real mineral freshness with an almost Viognier-like peachy richness. It is entirely unoaked, being fermented and matured in large tanks. It also tends to have sensible alcohol levels. Aromatic and with balanced viscosity and acidity, this is a great all round white. (CW 28/06/16)
