Based in Burgundy`s most northerly village, you might expect Bernard Coillot to make somewhat tannic and tough wines, but in fact his Burgundies are charming and fruit-driven with great balance of oak and acidity and fine, woven tannins. This was a warm vintage and the ripeness is apparent without dominating proceedings. Highly recommended and great value. (CW 21/11/19)
