The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Villages, a blend of some 20 tiny parcels and matured in 25% new oak, was showing quite a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it, though underneath were some attractive flinty, almost graphite scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, clean and pure red and black fruit with a pleasing sense of tension on the linear, slightly citric finish that carries the new oak well. This is worth seeking out -- very well crafted. 89-91 points
