Neal Martin
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, vinified around 35% in barrel, has more reserved and chalkier nose compared to the 2013. Unusually it demands some coaxing from the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with lime and just a hint of asparagus, very tensile with a harmonious, sharp finish driven along by the acidity, which should be more assimilated during the remainder of its élevage. This has good potential. 90 points
