Ten tractors per hour? Ten minutes by tractor beam? No, the vineyards are said to be a ten-minute drive from each other, although looking at the map that must be some souped-up Super Tractor. Sounds fun, if life-threatening. Originally set up in 2000, these Burgundy-threatening Chardonnays from the coolest part of Mornington Peninsula have acquired cult status. 2013 was a singularaly good vintage here, when everything happened at the right time. The 2013 McCutcheon is powerful, coiled and linear, delightful already and only set to get better. (NT 05/04/16)
