The 2013 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Combe d`Ormeaux has a tightly-wound bouquet: cranberry and pomegranate, sous-bois and light rose-petals scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasing, fleshy entry. There is good body and presence here: sappy red berry fruit and a generous dash of spice toward the grippy finish. This is very fine. 89-91 points

The domaine’s old vines in Combe d’Orveau have done a very nice job in 2013 in
ripening completely and delivering superb soil signature in the finished wine. The excellent
bouquet wafts from the glass in a blend of red plums, cherries, coffee, fresh herb tones, lovely
terroir and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and
already quite silky in texture, with a plump core of fruit, suave tannins and excellent length and
grip on the focused and beautifully balanced finish. Fine juice. 2022-2050+. 92.
