2013 Michel Lafarge Volnay Vendanges Select

The 2013 Volnay “Vendanges Selectionées” from Domaine Michel Lafarge is another stellar example of the vintage, and again, quite red fruity in personality this year. The bouquet offers up a fine constellation of wild strawberries, cherries, woodsmoke, lovely minerality, fresh herbs and a dollop of nutskins. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality, with a fine core, lovely soil signature and a long, tangy and moderately tannic finish.
