The 2013 Marsannay had also been racked four weeks previously, but was back in a good mood for tasting and showed very well indeed. The complex and pure nose wafts from the glass in a blend of red and black cherries, grilled meats, woodsmoke, dark soil tones and a nice topnote of fresh herbs. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and nicely transparent, with a good core, a touch of backend tannin and fine length and grip on the tangy finish. Lovely AC. 2019- 2040+. 89+ points
