Meo-Camuzet Bourgogne Rouge

Media Reviews

Allen Meadows

Méo stresses that for his négoce wines that he does everything as though these were domaine wines, which is to say all of the vineyard work and harvesting plus of course the vinification and élevage duties. An earthy and brooding nose reflects notes of both red and dark berries along with a hint of game. The delicious if mildly rustic middle weight flavors possess fine complexity as well as fine length. This is a quality Bourgogne and worth considering. 86-89 points
