2013 Furst Spatburgunder Tradition

This mostly comes from young vines on the Centgrafenburg and is aged entirely in oak, though all of it is at least third fill. It has a lovely redcurrant and strawberry fruit nose. The palate has a delicious texture with superfine tannins and very good fruit density. The finish is long and whether you are drinking it on its own or with food, this is the equivalent of any junior Burgundy or new world Pinot. (CW 22/04/15)
