Allen Meadows
(from young vines in Les Treux that were planted in 2001 and typically produce about two barrels or 600 bottles annually). The reduction is strong enough to render the nose unreadable today. There is relatively good concentration for such young vines to the middle weight flavors that possess a supple yet serious mouth feel as the tannins are sufficiently firm to suggest that at least 10 years will be needed to resolve them. In sum this is a fine if not truly distinguished example of the appellation. 91-93 points
