Moving to the 2013s, there were only two wines produced. The 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape is close to the normal blend, yet has slightly more Syrah and Mourvedre due to lack of Grenache. Possessing beautiful ripeness in its sweet black cherry, jammy blackberry and black raspberry fruit, licorice and toasted spice, it’s medium to full-bodied, elegant and layered, with a rare level of sweetness to its tannin. It will drink nicely on release and have a decade of longevity. 89-91 points

medium colour. Meaty, red fruited nose. This is medium weight wine. Grenache generosity comes through, giving a padding of supple fruit. The tannins are firm but finely honed. Appealing wine for relatively early drinking. 14.5°. From 2016 - 2024-26 ***(*)
