The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons has impressive mineralite and delineation on the nose. The palate is clean and fresh with fine acidity and engaging harmony toward the generous apricot and citrus-tinged finish. This is a worthy follow-up to the impressive 2012. Drink 2016-2025. 89 points

Good bright yellow. Yellow peach and ginger on the nose. Very ripe, even a bit glyceral, but with sound acidity and a white pepper quality keeping the wine`s fruit under wraps today. This very dry, closed wine is tough going today. 88-90 points
