The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos Clos des Hospices has a very mineral-driven bouquet, one that appears more austere compared to the previous vintage. The palate is well-balanced with good depth, fine minerality and offers a very elegant passion fruit and citrus peel finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Fine, although the 2012 has the edge. Drink 2018-2030. 90 points

Healthy bright yellow. Fresh apricot and flint on the nose; less expressive today than the regular Clos. Then rich and ripe but dry and backward, showing a slightly exotic quality to its lemon, white currant, lichee and menthol flavors. Still a touch of youthful bitterness here. Seems to be evolving more slowly than the regular Clos--and much tougher to taste today. Both this wine and the Clos began in 40% oak. 92-94 points
