The 2013 Peraj Ha’abib (Kosher), which means “spring flower,” is a Kosher wine produced with a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon that, to follow the Kosher rules, is fermented with wild yeasts. It aged for one year in French oak barrels, which provided for a very spicy nose with plenty of aromas of vanilla intermixed with ripe black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied despite the 14.5% alcohol, with abundant, fine-grained tannins and a rustic character. 9,600 bottles were produced. 89 points
