2012 Rolf Binder Heysen Shiraz (Barossa)
Secondary Description
Barossa Shiraz used to be a byword for over-extraction, but taste the Binder Heysen and see how things have changed. The earthy aromas of herb mingle with dark berry fruit in a wine that while full, is notable for its fine texture, not the vinous equivalent of a bodybuilder`s over-development. Aromatically compelling, and sheer pleasure in the mouth. To be fair to Binder, this is the way he`s always been making wine, and the rest of Barossa is just cottoning on. (NT 02/09/16)
