The 2012 Chianti Classico is superb. Bright red-toned fruit, spices, anise and leather grace the palate in an absolutely exquisite, vibrant wine endowed with superb texture, finesse and personality. The 2012 isn`t a blockbuster, but it is super-refined and a real standout for the year. Dollops of Canaiolo and Colorino round out the blend. 89 points
