Lightish ruby with brick starting to show at the rim. Lifted cherry liqueur aroma. Intense and alluring on the nose and a lovely chalky perfume. Chalky dry texture and sweet/sour on the palate. A very definite wine with a definite character. Lots of spice on the finish and a chewy aftertaste. Characterful rather than elegant. 16 points
