2011 Araujo Estate Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard

Araujo’s 2011 Sauvignon Blanc Eisele Vineyard is absolutely gorgeous. Succulent yellow orchard fruit, white flowers and freshly cut mint wrap around the palate in a wine that is at once rich yet weightless. Sweet floral notes reappear on the finish, adding lift and freshness. The 2011 is two-thirds Musque Blanc and one-third Sauvignon Blanc, fermented and aged partly in oak (23%) new and partly in steel. The blocked malo style is especially appealing here.
