This is made from the Prugnolo Gentile variety, a.k.a. Sangiovese Grosso, the Brunello clone of Sangiovese; the 24 months in French oak show gently through amid the violets. Lovely tannins; so smooth you almost wouldn`t know it`s Sangiovese. (NT 09/05/14)
