And the new addition to the Moreau range this year- the Chevalier? Simply brilliant! The bouquet is deep, refined and very intense, as it soars from the glass in a magical melange of lemon, pear, delicious apples, kaleidoscopic minerality, citrus
blossoms, incipient notes of the creme patissiere to come and a very gentle base of
vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and brilliantly focused, with a
bottomless core of silky fruit, stunning transparency, vibrant acids and magical length
and cut on the endless finish. Just a brilliant, brilliant example of Chevalier-Montrachet.

Here too there is an unobtrusive application of oak that sets off pure aromas of lemon, lime, grapefruit, pear and wet stone. The intense, detailed and gorgeously well-delineated flavors are built on what seems liquid
rock, all wrapped in a long, balanced and very classy finish. This is notably more refined if less powerful than the Bâtard but I slightly prefer th e overall sense of harmony and finesse here. 2018+ (92-95) points
