The following wines are all from Jean-Louis Chave’s negociant operations. They have added a Crozes-Hermitage Silene to the portfolio, but their main offering is the St.-Joseph Offerus. The 2009 St.-Joseph Offerus may turn out to be the finest example of this cuvee yet made. Terrific fruit intensity along with abundant strawberry, black cherry, kirsch, licorice and pepper notes make for a beautiful medium to full-bodied, elegant, supple wine to drink over the next decade.
