Robert Parker
The top cuvee, the 2009 Gigondas La Font du Tonin (92% Grenache and 8% Mourvedre aged for at least 12 months in small, old Burgundy barrels) reveals background notes of barbecue smoke and charcoal as well as lots of roasted Provencal herb, spring flower, spice box, kirsch and black currant characteristics. Textured, long, pure and velvety smooth, this medium to full-bodied, evolved Gigondas is best consumed over the next 7-8 years. 91 points
