2007 Ledaig, AD Rattray 9 yo 59.7% (Mull)

Secondary Description
Bourbon cask
There has only ever been one (legal) distillery on the Isle of Mull, but it is a cross dresser, appearing either as Tobermory (after the thronging capital of the island) or, under its original name, Ledaig (pronounced `let-chick`). These days, the name Tobermory is used for all unpeated bottlings, while peated ones are released under the name Ledaig. Even Ledaig is not usually too heavily peated, but this bottling is a proper fire in a peat bog, a mighty smoke monster that can stand up to anything from the isle of Islay. One for the peatheads among us. (NT 02/12/16)
