Down in a hollow right by the River Lossie, Glen Moray enjoys natural shelter from the wilder elements on the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountains. This bucolic setting is well reflected in the gentler character of the malt. The owners have recently (and wisely) gotten back into the habit of finishing whiskies in former bourbon barrels, and that adds a proper touch of sweetness to this bottling - think oranges and butter.
