2006 Fettercairn, AD Rattray 9 yo 57.1%

For those of us who like a richer style of malt, this is oily and sweet, and reminds me intensely of Lyle`s Golden Syrup. One of my colleagues says it is more like Caramac chocolate. Either way, it is very attractive and all to easy to drink! From a distillery in the wide, fertile plain at the edge of the Eastern Highlands that used to have a low reputation but is now producing a fantastically interesting range of bottlings. (NT 08/08/16)
