1996 Inchmurrin, AD Rattray 23 yo 62.3%

This is an exciting one – we’ve never seen an Inchmurrin on our shelves before. In fact, it comes from Loch Lomond distillery, where they name the whiskies they produce according to their place on a flavour spectrum. Inchmurrin belongs towards the light, floral end of the spectrum, yet after 2 decades in a sherry butt, this bottling has taken on all manner of new dimensions. Wax and stone fruit notes mingle seamlessly with citrus and Christmas spice. Complex, refined, lovely. (NT 05/12/19)
