Dufftown is a small, quiet town in the heart of Speyside. But it is home to a clutch of cracking distilleries, among them the eponymous Dufftown itself. The Dufftown malt is an absolutely classic exponent of Speyside style, all nuts, cream and cherry pie. It is unusual to see Dufftown as a single distillery bottling, and even more so from such an aged cask. Maturity has brought fine flavours, a refined texture, and an unusual depth of complexity to this bottling. Savour this. (NT 04/05/16)
