With holdings in many of the best Grand Cru sites across Alsace, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht have long been standard-bearers for what's possible with the region's unique terroir. They have been biodynamic in the vineyards since 1997, with minimal intervention in the winery; slow ferments and extended lees contact before bottling results in dense, mineral wines with superb poise and elegance, driven by vintage and vineyard.
Erudite and eloquent, Olivier (pictured with his son Pierre-Emile) is one of the most fascinating people in winegrowing, having run Zind-Humbrecht in Alsace since 1989. Tastings with Olivier at Uncorked have been a near-annual tradition for years, and we're long overdue one. We're delighted to welcome Olivier to the shop once again to talk us through his exceptional wines, this time including a vertical of Clos St Urbain Rangen de Thann Pinot Gris.
