2018 was a long-awaited cool vintage in Barolo. Following a long succession of hot, parched years, rain fell and the weather returned to patterns more familiar to the historically quite chilly hills of Piedmont. The result is a vintage which bears little resemblance to the powerhouses that preceeded it - cool, fresh wines with relatively soft tannins, lower abv and a sense of elegance which harkens back to the decades before Barolo became a town where Lamborghinis ruled the winding roads.
Join us to taste this delightful vintage though the medium of one of our favourite producers: Fratelli Alessandria. And keep your eyes peeled for our mixed-case offer...
