Realising potential
Sometimes potential is over estimated and under realised and for many evangelists for Spanish wines this seems to be the case. There isn't a European country whose tastings so often come up with over extracted and ill judged wines. There are times when it's like Chile, with personality. However, there are plenty of producers who are very good at what they do and very well sited, producing fine wines with a sense of place. We think today's wines all fall into that category.
