Portugal has had a lot to put up with from the English. Admittedly we helped liberate them from the Spanish and later from the French, but on both occasions our rude soldiery caused a bit of a commotion. The bowmen may well have helped win the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385, but not efore being overcome by copious amounts of local wine. Let us hope for better behaviour today.
