Personally, after a brutalising childhood lived under the threat of vengeful thunderbolts striking if one so much as set foot on a lawn, I can think of few more traumatising situations than a lawn-based social occasion. But I'm in a minority. And I'm fine, thanks.

Here are some wines for the uninhibited and irresponsible to enjoy on the grass. And apparently a bank holiday with good weather, so lawn sitting is pretty much compulsory.
