We're close enough to Advent that a Madeira tasting is both timely and anticipates the indulgence to come in just over three weeks.
We'll taste Madeira and one of my favourite Portuguese red table wines from the Douro. And we'll have tiny pieces of Madeira cake to have alongside the eponymous fortified.
