Jocelyn Wilson may not be as well-known in the UK as some of her contemporaries in the Zoo Cru (pictured above, including Chris Alheit, with whom she shared digs in Stellenbosch while studying viticulture and oenology), but her wines are held in high regard within SA - and at Uncorked! She started her own project (under her maiden name) in 2014, with just 5 barrels and a single wine, the Swartland Chenin Blanc. She and her family now grow grapes, plums, pears, apples and proteas on their beautiful Dwarsriviershoek Farm in Banhoek Valley, and have expanded the range and production significantly, garnering praise from local and international critics. Her wines all share a sense of lift and elegance, and offer superb value, as well as a notable sense of place.
