Domaine Marc Sorrel makes some of the very finest wines on the Hill of Hermitage - for four generations the Sorrels have been fastidiously working some of the best sites on the hill. They produce a small quantity of sought-after, long-lived Syrah reds, and an even smaller quantity of rich, dry, distinguished whites. Guillaume Sorrel took over from his father Marc in 2018; with some splendid vintages already in the bag since then, it’s clear that this jewel of Tain is in the best of hands.
We’re delighted to be welcoming Guillaume back to Uncorked, for an evening tasting on Wednesday 18 March. Come and ask him about Hermitage and its vintages, his time at the domaine, the challenges of winemaking in an era of global warming, and anything else you fancy.
