Although the vineyards are located in Fronsac, sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau have opted to market their new property as a Bordeaux Superieur in order to give themselves maximum flexibility in what is essentially a garagiste operation. They aren`t strangers to the region with the lauded Chateau Lafleur Pomerol already in their capable hands. The conceit of the Acte numbering coincides with their acquisition in 2009 so that vintage was Acte 1.
The vineyards are very similar in terroir to St-Emilion with a lot of limestone and clay and the vines are 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. (CW 09/05/2018)
