Felton Road Winery has been at the forefront of the Central Otago revolution since it planted its first vines in 1992. When winemaker Blair Walter says `I don`t !*$+ about, I let the wine make itself`, he`s not kidding. The winery is fully gravity fed - which means no unnecessary mucking about with pumps, lots of gentle handling, as well as an end to bad backs. Racking, fining and filtering are avoided where possible. Add in a dose of biodynamics, the use of cover crops and natural manure (!), and you begin to get the picture. But be warned. we`re not disclosing any big secret - demand is high, quantities are small, and you`d better have Uncorked on speed dial if you want to get your hands on any Block 3 or Block 5.
