Corofin

Mike and Anna Paterson share an enviable track record of high-flying positions in Marlborough Valley. Anna ran the marketing for Cloudy Bay and Mike was head winemaker for Jackson Estate among others. They began Corofin (named after the village in County Clare whence the Paterson family emigrated) with the 2012 vintage and their aim is to specialise in top Pinot Noir terroirs, while slowly expanding their Chardonnay holdings. They also produce a food-friendly Sauvignon Blanc called Meltwater from a Dog Point vineyard. Corofin has produced top class and classy Pinot Noirs since their inception and looks set to become an unmissable destination for New Zealand Pinot and Chardonnay. (21/08/19)
