Sparkling brunches and long lunches
The evenings are finally getting lighter and with the long weekend now fast approaching, we thought it was only appropriate to share with you some of our favourite wines for your Easter fare. So a mixed case that will hit the spot.
It opens with Winston Churchill's favourite fizz to get your palate kickstarted at brunch, then proceeds to a rich and savoury Pauillac from Chateau Batailley. There's also a luscious reserva Rioja from Vina Tondonia to go with your roast lamb or spiced yoghurt-baked cauliflower at lunch. Further spring essentials include two whites, one refreshing and one rich: a top Chablis and an Umbrian classic that will pair perfectly with seafood or this year's new season asparagus. Then to top it all off a lovely honeyed Sauternes to complete a well-deserved weekend of indulgence. Santé! /JW
