Andy Howard MW
Mainly Cinsault, with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot. Owned by Jacques Seysses and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.
Fresh new-vintage example of this distinctive IGP rosé. Red-berry fruit on the nose/palate, with a herbal edge to add more complexity. You can taste the low-temperature fermentation techniques via the ester-y hints, but this doesn`t take away from a lively rose, which has more about it than most pink wines from Provence. 16 points
