Jane Anson
Bright and vivid blue fruit character, high in acidity but delivered as juice and lift, this has lovely cocoa bean and smoked earth notes as it builds. A classically balanced if austere Ormes. 32hl/h yields, 3.61 pH. 45% new oak for ageing. 89 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2024 Ormes de Pez is a very pretty, expressive Saint-Estephe. Strong floral, savory and earthy elements abound. Bright red-toned fruit, spice, cedar and new leather lend notable punch. This is a very fine vintage for Ormes de Pez. Tasted two times. 90-92 points

The 2024 Ormes de Pez has a crisp, tensile bouquet with black olive tapenade infusing black fruit, fine delineation and nicely integrated oak. The medium-bodied palate showcases grainy tannins and a core of black fruit laced with graphite and tobacco, leading to a slightly smudged finish that lacks the complexity of the 2022. Still, this is a decent Saint-Estephe. 90-92 points
