The 2024 Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru was picked early on September 17; just three barrels this year, one new. It has a delightful bouquet with red berries, undergrowth, tea leaves and light morels coming through with time. Impressive complexity. The palate is very well balanced, a keen line of acidity, the prudent approach to new oak revealing the terroir of this noble site, open and poised towards the finish. I really enjoyed the 2023 and this 2024 is just as fine. 93-95 points

Mid crimson purple. Darker red fruit on the nose, while the cherry/raspberry qualities on the palate do not kick on quite as much as usual, when Rognet typically surges ahead of Perrieres. There is a suggestion nobility in the fruit profile, but not at this stage the extra depth. 90-93 points
