Tamlyn Currin
2023 was shaping up to be a good vintage until three weeks before harvest and then it turned out to be the wettest harvest ever. Bevan Newton Johnson thinks this will take five years to come round. Lightly peppery, dancing. Strawberry fruit, but not sweet. The fruit is gently reined in, rose hip and sumac, tannins slight but woven in and through. High acidity, but ripe, mouth-watering, delicately stemmy and mycorrhizal. 16.5 points
