Bright mid purple. The bouquet has a little crunchier fruit than Les Charmes. Quite detailed, fresh red berries with some riper elements too. There is a greater intensity of fruit, more raspberry compared to the Charmes strawberry, with ripe cherries at the seamless finish. A beautiful wine in the making. Drink from 2032-2040+. 95-97 points

The 2022 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru has a mineral-driven bouquet, more complex than the Charmes, offering tightly wound black fruit with attractive black pepper, minerally scents, and a hint of iris flower. The palate is medium-bodied, very taut and linear, with fine-boned tannins, focused with dark fruit towards the finish. This will probably land at the top of my banded score once in bottle. 94-96 points
