Bright, attractive crimson purple. Not as explosive as it might be on the nose, a little more discreet. Then the fruit does absolutely swell on the palate, rediscovering the strawberries and cream aspect of this vineyard, with adequate acidity and some fine tannins. Drink from 2032-2040. 94-96 points

The 2022 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a beautiful bouquet of red and black fruit and pastille-like purity that blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-bone tannins. It is cohesive and silky smooth, perhaps requiring more grip on the back end. But a very, very pretty Charmes-Chambertin. 93-95 points
