A fine bright deep purple. This appears to have a greater fruit intensity than the St-Romain. Much greater weight and depth, plummy fruit with some fresher red berry aspects, notably more tannins, a wine which will take longer to come round and will go further. Drink from 2027-2032. 89-91 points

The 2022 Auxey-Duresses Village has a lifted bouquet with mint-tinged red fruit and a touch of undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins on the entry, moderate depth, and a little austerity on the finish at the moment. Hopefully, it will gain a touch more flesh in barrel. 84-86 points
