Ruby crimson colour, a reductive nose, with a bit of the burnt limestone character of Brulees. Much greater density on the palate, this is a solid powerful, correctly ripe pinot, which does not show the reductive character in the mouth. A clean fine long finish. 92-94 points

The 2022 Vosne-Romanee Aux Brulees 1er Cru has a wonderful, expressive bouquet with shimmering red berry fruit, white flowers and hints of blood orange. Very harmonious and poised. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. It’s not powerful but tensile with an almost crystalline finish fanning out effortlessly. Superb. 95-97 points
